Very clean, well designed rooms and the option to prepare your own food. The staff were very friendly and the location was excellent for shopping and sightseeing in Montpellier.

My husband found the bed uncomfortable. We had great trouble accessing the hotel by car because of the one way system around Antigone.

"The location of the hotel was first class, beside the tram, and across the road from lovely food markets. (We did not realise this when first booking, so it was a lovely surprise, and could be a good marketing point for self-caterers. The food market was so good, that we ate in each night .... The staff were professional, there was easy access to internet. I would like to have known that the bedroom had two single beds and not a double, i.e. that the double bed was the sofa bed in the living room, Otherwise everything was fine. Very clean." (99534420)

The balcony facing onto the open area, the sofa bed was terrific, really comfortable and easy to use.

When we checked in we were initially given an apartment which was on the ground floor, with terrace open to people passing bye and youths loitering. However, we asked to be moved, and were accomodated on the third floor, which was fine. Would have liked a small oven.

"Before booking it would have been good to know where the supermarket was (opening times, etc.) however the hotel staff were most helpful. Also the fact that it is directly outside the tram stop Leon Blume is majorly advantageous for all travellers and holiday makers in the Montpellier area. It is also situated across the road from an indoor market area selling fresh foods of all descriptions. The staff were fantastic, especially Helene. The apartment was fully equipped and I am sorry now that we did not spend more time in Montpellier in this hotel before moving onto Marseille. Fabulous! and would fully recommend and stay in this hotel again." (3304986137)

    Everything!

    Nothing!

"We stayed here as a stopover on our way to a wedding. We were a group and booked 3 rooms. We all liked the rooms-they were clean, well equipped, good showersm towells provided as well as the little shampoos etc. There was air conditioning and the check in staff were very helpful and friendly. There was free internet access in the dining room which was useful and the position was central but quiet. Our room had a balcony whuch was pleasant and we all slept well. If someone wanted to stay a week it was well enough equipped to self cater. The only thing missing was tea/coffee etc in the room. There was a coffee machine downstairs and we didn't ask so there may have been some available for the rooms but didn't think the night before. Would have been nice to have a morning cuppa on the balcony. Besides that it was good value for money and a great central position right on the tram lane for exploring Montpelier." (3304139450)

Clean, quiet, central, helpful staff, friendly

    No tea/coffee in room

"I really enjoyed my stay and the staff were very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. I was disappointed not to have the basics in the self catering kitchen, I glass, I fork, no pot or kettle and no cups (only 2 small expresso cups). Otherwise there were plates, knives, spoons, frying pan, microwave, tray, jug, serving bowls and dishes etc. wine opener. Just the few missing items that made it difficult for me. we asked for glasses at reception and got them no problem but I didn't realise that I had no way to boil water until the next day. I'd stay there again but I'd check the cupboards as soon as I arrive." (2785734)

Handy to get the tramline outside the door, self catering and plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.

I was disappointed with the lack of cups, glasses, kettle or pot (to facilitate boiling hot water). I'm sure I could have remedied this by phoning reception to acquire some but this should not have been so.

"A serious minus point is the noise. Our room was on the street side, and the tram kept us awake until late, and waked us early (~6 p.m.). They did not tell us before I booked, neither at the time we checked in. I can recommend the hotel (see below), but only if a room like the one we had, but away from the street side, is provided." (2493321)

The spacious room. The location, being as closest as can to the tram. The ability of the staff to speak English.

"We requested a double bed but did not get one.We also requested a balcony if possible. The staff did not have this information but did find us a balcony when we asked." (2563558)

the generous size of the rooms

kitchen could be modernized (and better stocked ).TV too small, lack of channels,DVD/CD player would be an addition.

"Montpellier is a beautifully historic city. However, it's quite dirty. People don't pick up after themselves or their dog's, even though there are signs posted to do so everywhere. I saw many street cleaners and public maintenance personnel, but without the cooperation of the local population, they just can't keep up with the trash. As was expected a few of the French locals were extremely arrogant...but, it made me practice my French speaking skills all the more. Highly recommend a trip to Carcasonne; medieval city (1.5 hours by train). And the 10-minute taxi ride to the the beach was very much worthwhile. It doesn't matter how arrogant the French people can be...they won't keep me out....it's a fascinating country. I adore the cultural experience." (2261266)

Outstanding location. Convenient to downtown squares, shopping, transit sytem, easy access to airport transportation.

Luggage security. Found the door unlocked on more than one occasion. Nothing occurred, however....peace of mind.

"I had a studio which was quite spacious. Plenty of space to spread your toiletries in the bathroom. The equipment in the small kitchen was ok. I believe all the studios have sofabeds, and I found it to be a bit firm to sleep on. Many of the larger apartments are facing a nice garden, my studio was facing a grey wall... So if the view matters to you - ask for an apartment towards the garden. The location of the aparthotel is great: It will take you 2-3 minutes to walk to the Polygone shoppingcentre and 7-8 minutes to walk to place de la Comedie. The tram stop is right in front of the aparthotel, and the bus to the airport is a 2 minutes walk away." (2088099)

Spacious room, close to city centre. Clean.

The sofabed was a bit uncomfortable. The balcony never saw any sun.

"Good location within walking distance of shopping, Place de la Comedie, train station,on tram line, apartment with equipped kitchen, balcony, enough room for a family of four, and relatively quiet." (2070843)

Pleasantly surprised with the balcony, dishwasher, privacy, and good location.

Would have liked daily trash pick-up or some sort of guidance/instructions in regards to this.
